YouTube publishing errors

There might be certain instances when you encounter an error while sharing a post on your YouTube channel. It can happen for a few reasons, which we’re going to discuss along with their possible solutions.

1. A service error

Error message: A service error occurred: Failed to parse the Content-Range header.

Solution: When this error occurs, we suggest you re-upload the video to the RecurPost library. Possibly the video was not properly uploaded.

2. An invalid payload received

Error message: A service error occurred: Invalid JSON payload received. Unknown name “status” at ‘resource’: Proto field is not repeating, cannot start list.

Solution: If you encounter this error, we suggest re-uploading your video to the RecurPost library. It could be that your video wasn’t uploaded correctly the first time.

3. Invalid video description

Error message: A service error occurred: The request metadata specifies an invalid video description.

Solution: In the event that this error occurs, we suggest you re-upload the video to the RecurPost library. It is possible that the video was not uploaded correctly.

4. The number of videos exceeded

Error message: A service error occurred: The user has exceeded the number of videos they may upload.

Solution: This error occurs when you share more than 5-6 videos on your YouTube channel using RecurPost . Because of API limitations for third-party apps like us, you can only share 5-6 videos in a 24-hour period. If you receive this error, please try posting again in 24 hours or try posting your videos from YouTube natively.

5. Enter category and title for posting

Error message: You must have to enter category and title for posting on YouTube.

Solution: If you see this error, please ensure that you have included a Title and selected the Category in the post before adding it to the library or sharing the video to YouTube. YouTube has set these requirements.

6. Select category for posting

Error message: You must have to select category for posting on YouTube.

Solution: If you see this error, make sure that you have selected the appropriate content category when sharing a video to YouTube or before adding it to the library.

7. Upload a video for posting
