According to Twitter guidelines for developers, video files must meet all of the following criteria:
- Duration – Minimum: 1 second and Maximum: 140 seconds
- File size should not exceed 512 MB
- Aspect ratio should be between 1:3 and 3:1
- Resolution should be between 32×32 and 1280×1024
- Frame rate should be 60 FPS or less
- Must not have open GOP
- Must use progressive scan
- Audio should be mono or stereo, not 5.1 or greater
- Audio must be AAC with Low Complexity profile. High-Efficiency AAC is not supported.

- Duration should be up to 30 seconds
- File size should not exceed 75 MB
Just recently Pinterest started supporting video pins published via third-party schedulers, so they have not shared exact specifications yet, but this is what they recommend:
- Duration – Minimum: 4 seconds and Maximum: 15 minutes
- The best dimensions for a video are 1200 × 1800 pixels or anything within the standard aspect ratio of 1:1 (square) or 2:3, 4:5 or 9:16 (vertical).
- File type can be mp4 or mov.
