Every social platform sets a cap on how many posts an account can publish within a 24-hour window. RecurPost follows these limits, so posts go out safely without triggering restrictions.

These limits come from the platforms, not from RecurPost.

Flexible Post Limits in RecurPost

RecurPost now uses a combined post limit instead of separate limits.

What this means:

  • One-off posts and scheduled posts share the same total limit
  • There are no separate caps for each type

Example:

  • Total limit = 10 posts
  • 10 one-off posts → limit reached
  • 4 scheduled + 6 one-off → limit reached
  • 2 scheduled + 3 one-off → 5 posts still available

This removes unused slots and gives full control over how posts are used.

Platform-Wise Daily Limits

Each platform counts posts differently. These are the current limits:

PlatformDaily LimitWhat CountsNotes
Facebook PagesUp to 35 postsAll post typesBest reach is usually around 5/day
Instagram Business & Creator50 totalPosts, reels, stories, carouselsEach story slide counts separately
X (Twitter)100 postsTweets and thread partsEach thread reply counts
LinkedIn Profiles & Pages50 postsAll content typesFewer posts often perform better
Pinterest25 (verified), 5 (unverified)PinsEmail verification unlocks higher limit
TikTok25 postsVideosSame for all accounts
Google Business Profiles50 postsUpdates and offersEach update counts
YouTube5 (unverified), unlimited (verified)Feed & ShortsVerification removes cap
Threads250 postsPosts
Bluesky100 postsPosts

Note:
Limits run on a rolling 24-hour window.
If the cap is reached at 2 PM, it resets at 2 PM the next day.

Posting Limits vs Queue Limits

These two are different:

Posting limits
Number of posts that can go live in 24 hours on a platform

Queue limits
Number of posts that can be scheduled inside RecurPost

A full queue does not mean all posts will publish. Only posts within the daily cap will go live.

What Happens When the Limit Is Reached

  • Extra posts stay in RecurPost
  • Publishing pauses until the 24-hour window resets
  • Once the limit clears, posting resumes automatically

Best Practices

  • Post less than the maximum for better reach
  • Verify accounts to unlock higher limits
  • Spread posts across the day instead of posting in bursts

To reduce spam and keep feeds balanced.

11. Does posting near the limit affect reach?
