While sharing these links as attachments with a preview isn’t feasible, you can still share the link itself by keeping the URL in the text (caption) of the post without the preview. Here’s how you can do it using RecurPost:
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Edit the Failed Post: If your post fails to publish because of the privacy restrictions, you will see a notification in your RecurPost history. Go to your RecurPost history and then click on ‘Reschedule‘ option on failed post.
- Copy the Link Address: You will see a URL when hovering on the link preview in the post. Right-click on the link and select “Copy link address” or “Copy URL” depending on your browser.
- Paste the Link in Text or Caption: Now paste the copied link into the text box of the post.
- Remove the Link Preview: To remove the link preview, click the small cross (X) at the top right of the preview box. This will ensure that only the link itself is included in the post without any preview.
- Make Your Post Visual (Optional): If you want your post to be more visually appealing, you can manually upload an image. Click on the “Image” icon or button in the post to select and upload an image from your computer.
- Save the Post or Schedule it to the Queue: Once you have edited the post to remove the link preview and added any images if desired, click “Save” (When you are in Library) or “Schedule the post” (When you are scheduling one-off post).

- Use Engaging Text: Even without a link preview, you can make your post engaging by adding a compelling caption or description.
- Monitor Privacy Settings: Be mindful of the privacy settings of the content you are linking to. Ensure that it is set to be viewable by the audience you are targeting.
